Guest In Residence is a cashmere clothing label that happens to sell blankets. For a home shopper, that single fact decides everything - the home line is two designs, eight listings, and no bedding, pillows or rugs at all.
This review is built only from Guest In Residence's own published pages - its product feed, product pages, care guide, ethics page and shipping policy - plus its on-site review feed. Nothing was ordered or handled in person.
Disclosure: Home Unpacked earns a commission if you buy through our link. It costs you nothing extra and does not change a word of what follows.
The short answer
- Two blankets, eight listings. The Striped Blanket at $695 and the Cable Blanket at $595, each in four colorways, each 60 by 60 inches and 100% cashmere (product feed, checked October 15, 2026).
- Nothing else for the house. Of 413 products in the feed, eight are blankets. The rest is sweaters, denim, scarves, hats and socks (our count, October 15, 2026).
- The price does not move. Not one of 2,152 variants carried a strikethrough "compare at" price above its selling price on October 15, 2026.
- The blanket feedback is thin. The store's review feed holds 2,312 reviews going back to October 7, 2022. Seven of them are on blankets (our count, October 15, 2026).
- The catch is the clock. Shipping and returns are free worldwide, but returns close 14 days after receipt (shipping and returns page, checked October 15, 2026).
What Guest In Residence actually sells
The brand describes itself in its own page metadata as "a luxury knitwear brand founded by Gigi Hadid" whose mission is to create "Future Heirlooms - knitwear designed to last years, not seasons" (homepage source, checked October 15, 2026).
Knitwear is the operative word. We pulled the store's public product feed on October 15, 2026 and counted 413 sellable products across 2,152 variants, excluding the gift card and the shipping-protection add-on.
Of those 413 products, 240 are tagged 100% cashmere. Eight are blankets. There are no sheets, no duvet covers, no pillow covers, no rugs and no tabletop.
Prices run from $125 for a tee or a pair of socks to $995 for a jacket, with a median variant price of $445 (our count from the product feed, October 15, 2026).
Stock is real but patchy: 1,414 of 2,152 variants were marked available on October 15, 2026, or 65.7% by our arithmetic. The FAQ adds that limited-edition pieces "will typically not be restocked."
There are four physical stores - 21 Bond Street and 1061 Madison Avenue in New York, 433 N Beverly Drive in Beverly Hills, and Cross Creek Ranch in Malibu (stores page, checked October 15, 2026).
That matters. A store you can walk into is a different risk profile from a pure drop-shipper - the gap our Pop Maison legitimacy check spends its length on.
The two blankets, and what 60 by 60 inches covers
The Striped Blanket is the current one, published to the feed on September 24, 2026. It lists at $695 in Sandstone, Highland, Carmine and Burnt Cocoa combos, and all four were in stock on October 15, 2026.

The listed specification is short and specific: a rib stripe blanket with twisted fringe edges, 60 inches by 60 inches (152 by 152 cm), 100% cashmere. No weight in grams is published, and no yarn gauge.
The Cable Blanket is the older design, first published to the feed in November 2024, and sits at $595 for the same 60 by 60 inches with a medium-weight knit line added to the details.
It is also the one running down. Three of its four colorways - Green, Heather Grey and Brown - were sold out on October 15, 2026, leaving only Cream, flagged "LOW STOCK" on the page.
Now the number that decides whether this is a buy. Sixty by sixty inches is a throw, not bedding. A US queen mattress is 60 by 80 inches, so the blanket matches its width and falls twenty inches short on length.
Treat it as a sofa or armchair blanket for one person. On a bed it is a foot-of-the-bed layer.
By our arithmetic the Striped Blanket works out to about 19 cents per square inch of cashmere, the Cable Blanket to about 17 cents.
If the real problem is a room that never gets warm, a blanket is the expensive answer to it. Our note on the room the house forgot to heat works through the cheaper ones first.
Hand wash only, and where the cashmere comes from
This is the part a home buyer should read before the price. Guest In Residence does not permit machine washing anything it sells, and the blankets are not exempted.

The care guide is blunt: "FOR ALL GIR KNITWEAR, HAND WASH IN COLD WATER, AVOIDING BLEACH. INSTEAD OF TUMBLE DRYING, LAY FLAT TO DRY IN THE SHADE" (checked October 15, 2026).
It continues: "AVOID UNNECESSARY WASHES, AND DO NOT MACHINE WASH. FREQUENT WASHING OR DRY CLEANING WILL DAMAGE THE FIBERS AND FADE ANY BRIGHT COLORS."
For cashmere it recommends cashmere soap or delicate shampoo, rolling the piece in a towel to squeeze water out, then air-drying flat between two soft towels.
Storage carries its own instruction: fold rather than hang, and keep cedar balls or a lavender bag nearby, because cashmere keratin attracts moths.
Read that as a household rule, not a laundry tip. A $695 blanket that cannot go in a machine does not belong in a home with a dog on the sofa or a toddler with a juice cup.
That is the trade our Ruggable washable rug review exists to solve from the other direction, and the reason the rug that survived a toddler got written at all.

The sourcing claims, by contrast, are unusually specific. The ethics page names the Sustainable Fiber Alliance, a cashmere goat welfare code built with the ICCAW, and Inner Mongolia as the source of most of its cashmere.
Manufacturing is named too: most products are stated to be manufactured in China by Draper HK at its Dongguan Cason Knitted Company Limited factory, with annual audits and third-party supplier due diligence (checked October 15, 2026).
The blanket listings repeat it in the product copy itself: "Premium cashmere sourced from inner Mongolia, manufactured in China." A named factory is more disclosure than most brands at this price publish.
What the review record covers, and what it skips
Guest In Residence runs an Okendo review widget, and the raw feed behind it is public. We read all of it on October 15, 2026 rather than the summary printed on the page.
There were 2,312 reviews in total, the oldest dated October 7, 2022 and the newest October 12, 2026. That is four years of continuous customer feedback, which is a genuine trust signal.
The distribution is strong: 2,058 five-star, 120 four-star, 61 three-star, 38 two-star and 35 one-star, for an average of 4.79 by our calculation. Only 3.2% of reviews sit at one or two stars.
Of those 2,312 reviews, 2,138 came from reviewers the platform marks verified, 92.8% recommended the product, and none were flagged as incentivized (our count from the store's review feed, October 15, 2026).
Here is the catch for anyone reading this as a home shopper. Those reviews are spread across 972 distinct products, and only seven of them are on blankets.

The Cable Blanket page carried a 4.0 out of 5 rating from 2 reviews on October 15, 2026. The $695 Striped Blanket page carried no rating at all, because it has no reviews yet.
So the 4.79 average is real, and it is about sweaters. It tells you the label ships well-made knitwear and handles orders properly. It tells you nothing about how this blanket pills after one winter.
When the review pool is that thin, published measurements have to carry the decision instead - the same discipline our guide to reading a spec sheet applies to air purifiers.
Free global shipping, but a 14-day return clock
The logistics are the most generous part of this offer, and the most time-pressured. Both halves sit on the same page.
Shipping and returns are free globally, orders placed by 2 PM EST are eligible to ship the same day, and duties and taxes are included in the price for certain markets (shipping and returns page, checked October 15, 2026).
Then the limit: "ORDERS MAY BE RETURNED OR EXCHANGED WITHIN 14 DAYS OF RECEIPT," with products required to be in original condition and tags attached. Most furniture and home retailers give thirty.
Refunds take their own time on top: up to 10 business days to process once the return is delivered back to the warehouse.
Shipping protection is offered separately through Narvar and is opt-in, not automatic. Claims for a missing or delayed package run to nine months; claims for a damaged item close at 30 days.
Payment is broad: Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover, plus Shop Pay, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Amazon Pay, Meta Pay and PayPal, with Klarna as the buy-now-pay-later partner (FAQ, checked October 15, 2026).
The Striped Blanket page also advertised Afterpay at "as low as $31.11/mo" on October 15, 2026 - instalments, on a throw blanket.
A 10% code for joining the email list is the only discount the site offers. On the $695 blanket that is $625.50 by our arithmetic - worth taking, not worth deciding on.
Buy it if, skip it if
- Buy it if you want one 100% cashmere throw for a sofa or an armchair and you already know you like the weight of cashmere.
- Buy it if you will hand wash it in cold water, lay it flat to dry and store it folded with a moth deterrent.
- Buy it if you value a named factory, a named fiber standard and a published sourcing region over a lower price.
- Buy it if you can unbox and decide inside the 14-day return window rather than leaving the parcel in a hallway.
- Skip it if you are shopping for bed coverage - 60 by 60 inches is twenty inches shorter than a queen mattress.
- Skip it if the blanket will live with pets, small children or a normal washing-machine routine.
- Skip it if you want a deep review history behind a purchase this size; seven blanket reviews is not one.
- Skip it if you are furnishing a room rather than finishing one, where a broader home store or a department store covers more ground.
Frequently asked
How much is the Guest In Residence blanket?
The Striped Blanket lists at $695 and the Cable Blanket at $595, both 60 by 60 inches and 100% cashmere, per the product pages checked October 15, 2026. Each is offered in four colorways.
Does Guest In Residence sell any other home goods?
No. Of 413 products in the public feed on October 15, 2026, only eight were blankets. The catalog carries no sheets, duvet covers, pillow covers, rugs or tabletop - everything else is clothing or accessories.
Can you machine wash a Guest In Residence blanket?
No. The care guide states "DO NOT MACHINE WASH" for all its knitwear and asks for hand washing in cold water with cashmere soap, then flat drying between two towels away from sunlight (checked October 15, 2026).
Is a 60 by 60 inch blanket big enough for a bed?
Not for coverage. A US queen mattress measures 60 by 80 inches, so the blanket matches the width and is twenty inches short on length. It works as a throw, a foot-of-the-bed layer or a one-person sofa blanket.
How long do you have to return it?
Fourteen days from receipt, with tags attached and the item in original condition. Return shipping is free, but refunds can take up to 10 business days to process after the warehouse receives the parcel (checked October 15, 2026).
Are the reviews on the site trustworthy?
They look clean. Of 2,312 reviews in the store's feed on October 15, 2026, 2,138 came from verified reviewers and none were flagged as incentivized. The problem is coverage: only seven are about blankets.
Does Guest In Residence ever go on sale?
Not through markdowns. Zero of 2,152 variants carried a compare-at price above the selling price on October 15, 2026. The only published discount is 10% off a first order for joining the email list.
Bottom line
Guest In Residence is a credible cashmere label that sells a blanket, not a home brand. Judge it on that and the picture gets simple.
What it gets right is unusual: honest price tags with no fake markdowns, a named mill and fiber standard, four physical stores, free global shipping both ways, and four years of verified customer reviews.
What it has not earned is confidence in this specific product. Seven blanket reviews out of 2,312, no published weight, and a 14-day window to decide is a lot of money resting on the spec line alone.
Buy it as what it is - a 60 by 60 inch cashmere throw for one person, hand wash only, at about 19 cents per square inch. If that sentence sounds right, the price is at least honest about itself.
If it does not, spend the money where coverage and washability are the point. Our guides to home upgrades under $100 and home gear for renters are built for that trade, and our Pop Maison catalog review covers the furniture side.
And if it is really a sleep purchase, start upstream of the bedding - our note on rebuilding a bedroom for sleep lists the cheaper moves first.
