Pop Maison is a real, traceable store that has been selling furniture online since 2022, not a storefront that appears and vanishes in a season. The useful question is narrower: what are you risking when the freight truck pulls up?
This article is built only from Pop Maison's own published pages - terms of service, shipping and return policies, the FAQ, its public product feed - plus domain registry records and two separate review pools. Nothing was ordered or handled in person.
It is a companion to our full Pop Maison catalog review, which covers what the store sells and how the prices compare. This one answers the trust question instead.
Disclosure: Home Unpacked earns a commission if you buy through our link. It costs you nothing extra and does not change a word of what follows.
The short answer
- Legitimate and traceable. The store is operated by Greenhause Inc., 4017 Rawlins St Ste 100, Cheyenne, WY 82001, per its terms of service (checked October 15, 2026).
- Not new. The popmaison.com domain was registered May 2, 2019 and is paid through May 2, 2030, per Verisign registry records (checked October 15, 2026).
- Real catalog history. The oldest product in the public feed was published July 20, 2022, and 133 more were added during 2026 (our count from the store's product feed, October 15, 2026).
- No fake discounts. Zero of 1,108 product variants carried a strikethrough "compare at" price on October 15, 2026.
- Where the risk is. Doorstep-only freight, a 48-hour damage-reporting window, and a "365-Day Warranty" badge with no published terms behind it.
Who actually runs Pop Maison
The company behind the brand is named on the site, which is more than many furniture storefronts manage. The terms of service list Greenhause Inc. in Cheyenne, Wyoming, with a phone number of +1 312-522-8957 (checked October 15, 2026).
Support hours are published as Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, and the contact page offers an email address and a web form (checked October 15, 2026). There is no live chat and no stated response-time guarantee.
The domain record is the steadier signal. Verisign registry data queried on October 15, 2026 shows popmaison.com created May 2, 2019 through GoDaddy, with registration paid through May 2, 2030.
The catalog also grew the way a working business grows, not the way a pop-up launches.
Products published per year, counted from the store's own feed on October 15, 2026: 4 in 2022, 26 in 2023, 47 in 2024, 106 in 2025 and 133 so far in 2026.
The most recent listing went live on October 13, 2026 - a Philo Blush Pink modular loveseat at $978.00. If modular seating is the point, weigh it against the 7th Avenue Modular Sofa, which sells pieces individually.
One gap is worth noting plainly. We found no Better Business Bureau profile for either Pop Maison or Greenhause Inc. on October 15, 2026, so there is no BBB rating or complaint history to read either way.
The pricing passes the test most trap stores fail
The single most reliable tell of a low-quality furniture site is permanent strikethrough pricing: a $900 chair "reduced" from $1,800, every day, forever. Pop Maison does not do it.
We pulled the store's public product feed on October 15, 2026 and checked all 1,108 variants. Not one carried a compare-at price above its selling price. The tags are simply the tags.
Across the 313 sellable products - the feed also carries two donation listings and one spare part - prices ran from $29.99 to $2,459.99, with a median variant price of $599.97 (our count, October 15, 2026).

Discounting happens through banner codes instead, which is the honest version of the same mechanic. The homepage rotates PM20, PM40, PM100 and PM200 (checked October 15, 2026).
Read the rates before getting excited. By our arithmetic from the published thresholds, $20 off $300 is 6.7% and $200 off $2,000 is 10%. An email signup adds $10 off a first order (checked October 15, 2026).
Stock depth is genuine too: 1,083 of 1,108 variants were marked available on October 15, 2026. That is a real warehouse position, not a catalog of permanent backorders.
If you are weighing the same money against a broader retailer, our Macy's home goods buying guide and our Urban Outfitters Home review cover stores with wider catalogs and in-person returns.
Two review pools, two very different sample sizes
This is where shoppers get confused, because Pop Maison shows two numbers that look like they contradict each other. They do not - they measure different things.
Trustpilot showed a 4.5 out of 5 TrustScore from 104 reviews on October 15, 2026, on a claimed profile with a paid subscription. The star split was 87% five-star, 4% three-star, 3% two-star and 5% one-star.
The store's own review wall, powered by Judge.me, showed "Based on 1517 reviews" the same day, split across tabs labelled Product Reviews (1506) and Shop Reviews (11).

The on-site entries carry a "Verified" badge and recent dates, so they are not obviously padded. But the merchant controls that widget, and Trustpilot does not. The independent pool is the thinner one.
Spread across 313 products, even 1,517 reviews go thin fast. On the dining chairs page on October 15, 2026, one listing showed 33 reviews, another 17, and a four-chair Charlotte set showed 2.
Treat per-product counts as the number that matters, and fall back on published measurements where reviews are thin - the same discipline our guide to reading a spec sheet applies to air purifiers.
Where the real risk sits: freight terms and missing paperwork
Shipping is free on every order to the contiguous United States, and the policy is specific about what free buys you (checked October 15, 2026).

Orders ship in 1 to 2 business days and typically arrive in 5 to 7, calculated in Eastern Time, via FedEx and UPS. Large pieces travel by LTL freight with a scheduled appointment.
The limit is stated flatly: standard freight "includes ground-level doorstep delivery only" and "does not include upstairs delivery, inside delivery, room-of-choice placement, unpacking, or assembly."
Stairs or upper-floor access must be arranged separately. If you live on a third floor without an elevator, budget for help before you budget for the chairs.
Several destinations are excluded outright: Hawaii, Alaska, P.O. Boxes and APO/FPO addresses per the shipping policy, with Puerto Rico, Guam and the U.S. Virgin Islands added in the FAQ (checked October 15, 2026).
The damage clock is the term that costs people money. Report damage within 48 hours of delivery, with photos of the item, the packaging and your order number. Miss that window and you are negotiating.
Returns run 30 days from the date you receive the product, in original condition with all packaging intact. Pop Maison pays return shipping for quality faults; a change of mind is on you, via a trackable UPS or FedEx service.
Refunds are processed within 5 to 7 business days of the warehouse receiving the return, plus 3 to 5 business days for your bank (per the refund policy, checked October 15, 2026).
Address changes are possible only within 2 hours of ordering, through the order confirmation page. That is a tighter window than most furniture retailers give.
Furniture that arrives flat-packed also arrives unanchored. If a piece is going into a room with small children, our note on the dresser recalls that keep coming is worth ten minutes.
A dining set also needs something underneath it, and the catalog carries no rugs at all. Our washable rug review covers that half of the room.
Beyond the freight terms, three documentation gaps stood out on October 15, 2026. Each one quietly shifts risk toward the buyer.

The warranty has no terms. Product pages carry a "365-Day Warranty" badge, but /pages/warranty, /pages/warranty-policy and /pages/product-warranty all returned 404, and the page sitemap listed no warranty page.
The FAQ mentions free replacement parts for an item "still under warranty" without stating a length or what is covered. The terms of service pull the other way, saying products are provided "as is" and "as available."
The payment pages disagree. The FAQ lists Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover. The dedicated payment page lists Visa and Mastercard, Payoneer and "PayPal payments from confirmed addresses only," and rules out prepaid cards.
A product page we captured also offered Afterpay instalments. Three pages, three answers - assume the checkout page is authoritative and check it before you plan around a particular card.
The origin is unstated. No warehouse location is published. The shipping policy does say "we cover all customs duties and taxes," and tracking runs through 17TRACK, both of which point to at least some overseas fulfilment.
None of that makes a store illegitimate - our Aosom review covers a direct-import retailer that works the same way. It does mean replacement parts can take longer than a domestic brand's.
Buy it if, skip it if
- Buy it if you are furnishing a dining room and can be home for a freight appointment on a ground floor.
- Buy it if you will unbox everything the day it lands and photograph any damage inside 48 hours.
- Buy it if your order clears $1,000, where the banner codes reach their 10% ceiling by our arithmetic from the published thresholds.
- Buy it if you are comfortable judging a chair on published dimensions and fabric specs rather than a deep review history.
- Skip it if you need a one-year guarantee you can actually read before paying.
- Skip it if you ship to Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, Guam, the U.S. Virgin Islands or a P.O. Box.
- Skip it if delivery means stairs and nobody is there to carry, or if you want room-of-choice placement included.
- Skip it if you are furnishing a whole home - the catalog is overwhelmingly dining, as our full catalog review sets out.
Frequently asked
Is Pop Maison a real company?
Yes. Its terms of service name Greenhause Inc. at 4017 Rawlins St Ste 100, Cheyenne, WY 82001, and the domain has been registered since May 2, 2019, per Verisign records checked October 15, 2026.
Why does Trustpilot show 104 reviews when the site shows 1,517?
They are separate pools. Trustpilot is independent and listed 104 reviews at 4.5 out of 5 on October 15, 2026. The 1,517 figure is the store's own Judge.me widget, split into 1,506 product reviews and 11 shop reviews.
Is the 365-day warranty real?
The badge is on product pages, but we found no terms behind it on October 15, 2026. Three likely warranty URLs returned 404 and the page sitemap listed none. The FAQ references warranty replacement parts without stating a length.
Where does Pop Maison ship from?
The site does not publish a warehouse location. Its shipping policy states "we cover all customs duties and taxes" and tracking is handled through 17TRACK, which indicates at least some international fulfilment (checked October 15, 2026).
Can I return a chair if I simply do not like it?
Yes, within 30 days of receiving it and in original packaging, but you pay return shipping using a trackable UPS or FedEx service. Pop Maison covers return shipping only for quality faults (refund policy, checked October 15, 2026).
Does Pop Maison ship to Alaska or Hawaii?
No. The shipping policy excludes Hawaii, Alaska, P.O. Boxes and APO/FPO addresses, and the FAQ adds Puerto Rico, Guam and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Free shipping applies to the contiguous United States only (checked October 15, 2026).
Bottom line
Pop Maison clears the legitimacy bar that matters: a named company, a seven-year-old domain, a catalog built steadily since 2022, honest price tags and a stock position that is actually in stock.
What it has not earned yet is a deep public record. One hundred and four independent reviews and single-digit counts on individual products are thin for a 313-product catalog.
So buy it the way you would buy from any young direct-to-consumer furniture brand. Order to a ground floor, be home for the truck, open every box the day it lands, and photograph anything wrong before the 48-hour window closes.
If that sounds like more choreography than you want, a store with in-person returns is the safer trade. For smaller, lower-stakes buys while you decide, our guides to home upgrades under $100 and home gear for renters stay useful.
And if the dining room is the project, start with the table rather than the chairs - our note on the kitchen table that was costing a back explains why height and depth beat looks.
